Slow progress

Slow progress

Are you kidding me??

Slowly they build, step by step, inch by inch. I was told it would take one to two days maximum to get the shed built. Between a sore back, rain delays, broken down vehicles and family emergencies it has taken 7 days already with still more to do.

Slow a a sloth…I love sloths, but not when they are doing a job for you!

Today’s progress

They put on the metal roof, the outside corners and the transom windows in the back. They were two transom windows short because there are supposed to be two above the front door. Was told they would arrive in short order. Ha!!

The items still needing attention are installation of the front door, front window and transoms above the door. Did I mention the having double studs in all the corners and ceiling joists on the edges are an upgrade. Without those items, I can’t properly install the walls and ceiling. You have to have studs and joists to nail them into. Even though it’s an upgrade, I was informed that they would supply the lumber. It’s the least they could do given the multiple delays!

Roof going on and 5he corners are already complete
Two of the seven holes for the transom windows along the back
Corner roof pieces being installed
This is what it looked like when they left today
